Course policy and Other Information.

The examinations will be approximately evenly spaced throughout the semester.
The tests will be conducted in the same lecture room.
The dates will be announced right on the 1st lecture. There will be NO final exam.
Makeup exams will not be given unless prior notification is given with
substantial, DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE of a reasonable excuse.
Under any circumstances, a student needs to write atleast three tests
(out of four) in order to be considered for grading.
The other test, if he is absent for a valid reason (proved by DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE
as mentioned) will be waived and a score of average of three tests will be given for this.
In the absence of the documented evidence the score for the test will be ZERO.

Homeworks will be assigned approximately one week before each exam.
It will not be graded and will not carry any weightage towards the final grade.
It will help the students to give better understanding of the lecture materials
and also as mock test for the actual tests. Solutions to the homeworks will be given
approximately three days before the tests.

Questions regarding the test grades should be clarified
a week of returning the test .
If no complaint is formulated within one week
after the grades are posted on the web page of the class,
IT WILL BE CONSIDERED THAT YOU ACCEPTED THE GRADE AND
THE CORRESPONDING GRADES ARE CONSIDERED DEFINITIVE.

No student shall be compelled to attend class or sit for an examination
on a day or time prohibited by his or her
religious belief.

All news will be announced in the NEWS section of the class home page.
All changes to the website in general will
appear in the NEWS section. Make sure that you check this from time to time.

Dishonesty in this class (cheating in tests,
lying to the instructor, or similar) will result in an automatic F.
